Brayan was born on September 27, 2008...he came unexpectedly 3 weeks early from the due date. I had a weekly appointment around my 35th week and the OBGYN just asked the normal questions: How are you feeling? Any pains? I had mentioned to her that I had been feeling some cramps, but that I figured it was normal. She checks me out and has this strange look in her face and says, "I need to check the baby's heart rate." Red flags went up in my mind and I knew something was wrong. According to my doctor, my water had broken during the week some how and little old me never even noticed....ahhh the wonders of being preggors! lol
Anyways, to make a long story short is was born the following day via c-section because the umbilical cord was wrapped around his neck. None the less, he was a healthy and extremely pale baby boy.
Brayan is currently 1 1/2 years old and is too smart for his age. He amazes me everyday with how grown he acts and what he says. He loves music, he stops whatever he is doing just to dance and sing along. I think it's in his Dominican and Haitian genes!
